INITIAL REQUEST

Our involvement with this project began through a collaboration with the architect that had previously worked with us for an architectural competition. Pleased with the results and impressed by our work, the architect recommended us to Nice Day Developments, where he was responsible for designing the development.

Our first step was to have an in-depth conversation with the architect to gather all the necessary details about the project. Following this, we connected with the developer to discuss the project's vision. We explored different aspects, including the developer's marketing strategy for the development, the desired mood and tone for the images, and other important creative elements.

With the initial meetings completed and the contract finalized, we were ready to begin our work on this exciting project.

CLAY RENDERINGS

Once the initial modelling of the development was completed, our next task was to generate the "clay models." These clay models  played a crucial role in selecting the best camera angles and ensuring that the facade and overall design of the building would be visually appealing, as envisioned by the architect.

The clay models allowed us to preview the structure in its purest form, free from textures and colors, focusing solely on the shape and geometry. A much needed stage in the process where the architect and the developer was able to evaluate the aesthetics but also identify any potential design adjustments.

Together, with the architect, we reviewed these clay models, analysing each angle to ensure that the design's integrity was maintained while highlighting the building's most striking features.

FIRST DRAFT

Once the client selected the three camera angles they liked most from the initial set of 11 clay images, we began the process of bringing the project to life.

Our first task was to build out the environment. This involved carefully crafting a realistic setting that complemented the building, taking into account the surrounding landscape, lighting conditions, and the overall atmosphere the client wanted for this project. We paid close attention to details such as natural elements, neighboring structures, and how light and shadows interacted with the building, all to ensure the final images were as immersive and true to life as possible.

Once the environment was done, we collaborated closely with the architect to fine-tune the materials and textures for the building itself. Using the architect’s input, we developed and applied materials—everything from the glass and metal to the concrete and wood—ensuring that every surface accurately reflected the intended design and looked authentic in the final images.

Three days later, after intensive work on materials, lighting, and environment, the images were ready for the first proper review. This milestone marked an important point in the project, as the initial vision began to take shape in a way that allowed the client to fully visualize their development.

SECOND DRAFT

We sent the draft images to the client, and he was extremely pleased with the results. However, upon reviewing them, he realized that he wasn’t satisfied with the red color the architect had initially suggested for certain design elements. After some discussion, he decided to switch the color to green, which he immediately preferred and felt much better with the overall aesthetic.

In addition to the color change, we identified and resolved a few issues with the concrete texture on our end to ensure it met the highest standards of realism and consistency. With those adjustments made, we were ready to move forward with the next draft.

THIRD DRAFT

For the final draft, the client requested a few last-minute adjustments to perfect the images. Specifically, we were asked to change the aspect ratio of the third image from portrait to landscape, light up an apartment,

add trees to the right side to reflect the real-life surroundings,  removed an empty space from the fence, moved the camera slightly closer and eliminated some of the taller trees that detracted from the composition.

Once these changes were made, we sent the updated images to the client for review. After receiving his approval, we rendered the images in 4K resolution,  we worked our magic in post-production and enhanced the fine details.

And just like that within 6 business days the project was completed and was ready to be advertised.
